My cousin at Camb said that because the internet they get is connected to the uni network you arent allowed to download music, movies, etc etc but he refuses to tell me how you would be able to download such stuff without being tracked down. So I was wondering, could you be tracked down? And if you could, how could you get around it? Because I NEED my music, and series (and unfortunately dont have the cash to dish out on real cds whenever I have the urge to listen to some new stuff) (and that happens very often)

For music, most people I know have an iTunes plugin called MyTunes, which lets you steal music from other peoplesiTunes libraries, if they share. I think tehre are a few college specific things to consider too- Homerton seem to be extremely strict (the last I heard they ban MSN messenger!) and churchill appears to be the most lax- they seem to BitTorrent at will!

Much as I would have loved to stay on this thread (as an honourary poster??? :p: ) even reading it makes me a bit depressed, although I'm trying to stay positive. :smile: But yeah, everyone have fun at Cam, I'm sure you'll all enjoy it, and you've all earnt it! :biggrin: But if you discover any bad points, feel free to moan to me about it! :p:

Dude, MyTunes isn't a "plugin".
Hmmmm. I just got offered a ticket to Reading. Anyone going to be there?
I know it's a bit early but it's strangely quiet in here - it is a Sunday!

Just made out a list of 'things to buy' and then 'things to pack' for Cam, a little early but strangely enjoyable all the same. :p:

Have any other natsci's been sent homework yet? When do pooled people find out if they're in? I've seen a few people on this site from outside the UK who have missed their offers and still haven't heard yet. :frown:

Have mine! No, I have also forgotten everything. I've decided that I'm going to let August finish as 'holiday month' then September I'm going to get going and buy things/swot up/do stupid homework!

i need letterrrrrrrrrs! i'm annoyed that things don't feel completely different yet. all i've had is a congrats letter from caius and i feel like i need information and stuff and things to do!

Yeah, once you've got the French and Spanish reading list you'll probably feel less impatient :wink:
i too want letters.....i think the postie is deliberately leaving out my house lol
i also want homework....that way i will actually feel apart of the uni already, mind you, maths doesnt sound like my fave idea of homework!
