i was dissapointed with that film. visually it was sublime, especially the dance scene.
Reply 7085
i thought the dance she did at the big showtype bonanza was a bit...different. i thought the fans looked great tho the way they flicked them round. i didnt realise til about half way through when my brother pointed it out that she had blue eyes tho...i was like "ohhhhhhhhhhh..."
i was just interested in how different life was like over there to over here. it's not like when we found america and it was people in tents, they had this massive civilisation with stuff like doors that slid instead of swinging open... i probs sound like a dork but i just like to see how they developed stuff to solve the same problems we had but they solved it in a different way...

annnnnnnnnyway off to bed with me. noches!

I loved that film, the visual graphics and use of colour in it was really stunning, and i dont know, i really got into the story too i thought it was very moving.
Oo and the lead actress is absolutely beautiful too.

was a shame all the lead actresses were chinese, they shuddve at least had one japanese for the sake of "authenticity"! however, i cant complain, chinese girls send my blood boiling!

were they? i thought it might have been better in japanese for the authenticity...coz the bit where the americans turned up and she was just talking to them i wasn't sure whether these guys spoke japanese or whether she'd just magically learnt english or what...

i liked how every now and again you'd hear stuff about WWII on the radio, it reminded me of when it was based, i just kept assuming it was sposed to be centuries ago

Right, do any of you frershers play poker?
I do, but not for money. I have a friend going up to Newnham for Bio Natsci who does though. She's scarily good, always off doing tournaments and winning money.

A bit, though preferably not for money...
*feels bad about taking other people's cash...*

my friend tried to teach the rest of us once. it was hilarious.
Visesh just bought a 500 pc Poker kit... Non of us are good and prefer to play poker while getting intoxicated on alcohol... amongst other various interesting things.
I play a bit, Texas Hold'em mainly (yes, for money), although not for a while, because one of my friends got really into it and made us play all the time thus completely spoiling it.

I'd be up for playing a bit at Uni though.

And, to the people who say they play w/o money - IT'S NOT PROPER POKER! THE WHOLE POINT OF POKER IS MONEY, ELSE THERE'S NO INCENTIVE TO PLAY PROPERLY!
