It is indeed a sad day. :frown:

Steve Irwin was awesome. May he rest in peace.

i actually shouted "no" at the tv. i know it's a shame when these old actors and people die but this was completely out of the blue. and what a way to go! :frown:

You're welcome; Urban Dictionary has 'helped' me learn the definition of 'corrupt' words on more than one occasion.

There was this one time when I was about 14-15 and I was talking to two friends on MSN who were talking about girls (I think). They mentioned 'pink sock' and 'pearl necklace,' and I naively thought that these were things that females might wear, but after they started laughing at me Urban Dictionary corrected my erroneous belief.

Afterwards my fragile little mind was warped for life, and so I decided to become a Mathmo.
Yeah, I hate it when I watch old movies and then I look up the actors on wiki and it has a section entitled 'Death'. It's so depressing! You know, chances are we'll live to see people like Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie, Jodie Foster etc . all die of old age. That's really quite terrifying.

Have you finished the Mathematics Workbook yet? I managed to do two whole pages this evening, so I've now got to... the third page of questions.
Yep, I was sad to hear about Steve. Whatever you thought of his antics, he got an awful lot of people interested in animals and animal conservation - people who wouldn't have batted an eyelid otherwise. He will be sorely missed.

It was indeed quite a way to go, though - he is only the second Australian ever to have died from a stingray sting (the other being in 1945). The venom isn't sufficient to kill an human - he was just ridiculously unlucky in that it stung him through his chest, so the wound trauma was massive.

yea i did the first few pages n snippets of the rest during my time in hospital, but i dnt think ill do anymore, because the answers are in the back n therefore im gambling that they dont mind if we dont do all/any of it!

Mathematics Workbook
It is not necessary to know all this material, but it would make your first term more comfortable if you did know it.

I suspect your gamble will pay off.

No one has died of "old age" since... the 1930's. That's when the government decide that "old age" is not a cause for death...

instead, "ineffective treatment" is now the leading killer of man kind.

Maybe I should just say die instead.. or you could argue that old age is a condition, the symptoms of which are cancer, heart disease etc.

in south london, its impossible not to! ummm, passively, that is.

however, i do challenge you to find a proposition, based in the real world, which strictly implies another non-tautologous proposition....

i feel like a long walk alongside nature, god do i miss land's end...
