I just cant wait to get out of school so I can learn things I'm actually interested in; that's what's getting on my nerves. It's purely a means to an end at the moment, which is really irritating as I'm someone who genuinely loves to learn and it's making me a bit bitter!
Yep, same, Im getting really bored in all my lessons, actually fell asleep twice last week - and got caught once, although the teacher didnt care because we werent really doing alot tbh.
Also echoing some other people's points about correcting mistakes, this happens sometimes in maths, but not because the teahers are bad, just its ussually silly little mistakes, however sometimes in physics its worse than that.
Infact the only interesting lesson i had last week was when i strolled into physics and saw a marrow on the table! Still not sure why it was there but we spent the lesson pissing about with it and cutting it up - hard to call that a lesson really .
Oh and finally do any other physicists get really annoyed about the lack of maths in A-level. I know not everyone does maths but the lengths they go to avoid it really pisses me off. We do some bits that are crying out for maths, but which they limit to very simple equations which are big simplifications of what goes on. Its especially annoying when we really should be using calculus but instead we are told we can count the boxes under the graph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats actually like year 6 stuff! Cant believe that question was in an A-level paper!!!!

I was really surprised that there's no calculus in A Level fiz - won't a lot of people suffer a bit when they start uni?
I wouldn't have thought so. The universities that offer Physcs without requiring Maths A level will presumably teach the missing maths first. It's what they do for Economics. Maths will of course make it easier though
Yeah I suppose! What's everyone up to just now? I'm absolutely cream-crackered, but it was the end of term today, woop. Have you english people stopped for easter yet?
