A few details about yourself: well im andy, really enjoy playing and watching rugby (go Sale!!) and also playing cello. i quite like going to the cinema (i saw 2 films today!!!) and generally going out with my mates. i wouldnt mind having a go at rowing if i get in, seems most people try it at least once, lol!

and about jarhead, i really didnt think it was that great, i mean, it just seemed a bit pointless. i got the meanings and stuff i think but, still, didnt do it for me, it was an american war film with no war.

honest i'm not making fun! it's just confusing when it gets down to shades of colours...

--------------

thinking i might be a source of entertainment in october, my family like to sit me down with this game called traffic jam or sumit and get me to try and match up all the different coloured vehicles with the way they're set up on the card...

and that isnt even the point of the game, that's just setting it up! :p:

A few details about yourself: Just thought I'd mention I really like perfumes. A lot. Having a bit of an obsession atm as just got a lovely set from someone at my party  Oh yeah and I've just turned 18, funfunfun! Anyway - I'm a bit eccentric and have a slightly obsessive personality - like sassygirl I have crazes on things. Love music of many different kinds, always seem to come back to 60's music although I also like classical, some modern stuff etc (once saw Placido Domingo perform in Italy which was fabulous - which reminds me I also have an obsession with all things Italian) Not sure I have the right kind of work ethic for Cambridge as I'm scarily lazy and addicted to watching Frasier, West Wing, Black Books, Seinfeld, etcetc, films, reading random books, going out (best place to eat out imo is Ask - if you don't love their desserts especially you're mad- oh and best drink ever=sweet martini, the red kind), coming on TSR  etc when I should be working :p: Am hoping sheer love of the subject will carry me through, hmm. I now have a laptop hence the fact I'm on here for an even more ridiculous proportion of my time... Went to an all girls' school for 5 years, switched to a local mixed college,so far have enjoyed both atmospheres a lot in different ways. Better stop there before I write a very boring book. What I should be doing right now? 3 courseworks and homework on tort. Ah well  ah and my name's Beth but you could probably work that out from my charmingly original screenname

EDIT: Didn't see last 2 questions...

How did you celebrate when you found out?: I went to college :p: Seems so long ago now but I don't think I really did anything - just had a nice meal with wine with family and thought about how happy I was!

What will you do in the months before Cambridge?: Going on holiday, seeing as much of people as I can before I leave, and, knowing me, worrying about whether I met the grades...

Maybe everyone should post pictures and that can go on the first page too...wow what an original idea
friendlyneutron
As far as i'm concerned, the *only* Pride and Prejudice is the one with Colin Firth in it  Sigh...

Since the Cambridge picture thread is all cluttered do you think we should do a photo thing for us Cambridge newbies to be (grades permitting, yadda yadda yadda)?
Pride and Prejudice/Mr Darcy fans, feel free to visit my P&P Soc :p:

A few details about yourself:
Well, i can be a bit crazy at times. I love going out with my mates, especially partying and drinking!! I spend way too long on tsr reading all the threads but i dont really post on here much. Im almost convinced that my offer from Cambridge is a total mistake as i dont feel anywhere near as smart as all the people usually posting on this forum. I havent actually decided whether or not to accept my offer yet so any persuasion is welcome

How did you celebrate when you found out?: Didnt do anything really ......

What will you do in the months before Cambridge?: I'll be going on holiday somewhere with all my mates and my bf hopefully. I'll also be worrying endlessly about not getting the grades!
