I'm doing a sociology coursework proposal, the AQA specification (dunno if that makes any difference)
I just wondered if anyone could help me, my hypothesis is "Does material deprivation have a negative effect on a child's educational achievement"

I'm trying to do the context and concepts but i'm completly stuck.

Please help

xx

You could mention names of some sociologists who think that material deprivation does have a negative fact, and then explain why they think that. And then you could go into what context you'll explore, like in primary school or secondary school or what age-range?
Good luck with it

You could have a paragraph or point which suggests that material deprivation is not the only factor that has a negative effect on a child.

Read p26-27 Revision GCSE Sociology by Pauline Wilson published by Collins. It gives an excellent overview on influences on educational achievement.
