I think you can. Sometimes I wear girlie, pastel colours and my hair in a ponytail, with hardly any makeup, and then other times I wear dark colours and more obvious makeup, with my hair down and cleavage showing....

Just make sure you don't confuse "sexy" with "slutty".

Its like 80% manerism, 10% what you say and 10% what you wear.
No, I disagree. What you wear helps determine how you behave.

depends who's looking at you. sexy isn't just a black feather bower and red knickers... depends what the guy/girl's into.
well you can start with what you wear, get tight jeans with heels, if you always have your hair up, leave it out and have it really full volume and bouncy etc....

Your point?

Girls are a lot more critical over their contemporaries' looks. Guys couldn't really care less about the fine distinctions between 'cute' and 'sexy'.

Hmm you have a point, it's only my female friends who describe me as "cute".
Well, would you say to a friend, 'Wow, you're looking sexy tonight!' Actually, I suppose you might...I'd be saying in a jokey kind of way though if she looked good, if that makes any sense...

It's true that guys don't really distinguish between cute and sexy. The first thing a guy thinks about when he sees a girl he finds even mildly attractive is "She'd get it" or "I'd hit it"...or, where appropriate, "If the pitch has grass, let's play".

Is it possible to "upgrade" if you like from being cute to sexy? Don;t get me wrong, I don't mind being cute, it's just sometimes I'd rather be sexy, have a sexy attitude etc! Is it the way you talk? The clothes you wear? What determines weather a person is sexy or not?

Why would you want to change when your lovely and sexy as you are

Thankfully, that is not at all true in all cases

lol well I kinda went from cute to sexy without even realizing it. :P I always liked being cute and all, since my eyes are pretty big and I look good in pigtails...but then my boyfriend says that I'm sexy...haha
I think one main factor is how you are willing to change.

I think looking sexy is all about what you wear and how you apply your makeup. I don't think it's so much your behaviour (unless you cannot walk in heels to save your life and it looks more like you're trying to walk across ice! NOT SEXY!!)

Why not experiment with different clothes and makeup to see what you think is sexy, because everyone has their own opinions of what is sexy or not. When you find something you like you'll know it!!!

This is rubbish, or at least only applies to groups of 'lads'!

There is also a problematic orange tan-line between sexy and slutty.
