I think I would study very hard and focus on getting a good job! I'm a girl btw, average in looks although some have said they found me offensively looking but hey.

But then they are called 'vain' and 'wannabe models'. Well I was :frown: Nevermind, no seriously tho - if someone said you were really ugly, like they went 'God *insert name* is so ugly!' and it were true to him/her, and other people thought so too, what would you do?

I tell you what, I wouldn't give that person the aesthetic pleasure of proving them wrong! I would get to my books and study, then become rich and change society so that they would become accustomed to my look

Yeah Id feel like making up for it by doing something else but Id probably concentrate on having a good personality and being cool.

I was born ugly.

These days, however, I'm undecided on the matter.

Yep good point. Because if you were TOO smart people might make fun of you as a 'true nerd' :frown:

To someone that asked if this thread was a joke: the answer is no! I'm being serious, I have been told enough times in my life that I am weird looking, or unattractive that yeah you begin to look for other options. Apart from killing yourself

Are you me?

Would it make that much difference to the things you did? It would effect the way other people reacted to you but I don't think I'd act any differently. I've always worked really hard at stuff and tried to be good at everything and that has nothing to so with how I look. People who are really attractive aren't just born then sit there being attractive having already achieved their life goal!

Who's to decide what is ugly and what is not? From those girls in magazines? Anyone can be beautiful.
Think i was born pretty, but hey, been hit by the ugly stick one to many times.

if i were born ugly; that is, really ugly, i think i'd live a subterranean life in solitude.
There is no such thing as ugly!!!!

That is so rude poor you  . It's true to say that it's their problem though. No one normal would say anything that rude.

Actually for jobs, that isn't true as it would be classified as "discrimination against ugly people".
