God knows, broken up and binned years ago.

Bought it in Germany, so probably only cost about £30. Revell kit.

A mate told me he was working RIAT a few years back and a Lancer took off. He says that after your hearing returned from the roar of the engines, all that could be heard were 5000 car alarms, all going off together...

That happened at Farnborough last year. I had a mate working in one of the offices on the other side of the runway. Whenever the Typhoon took off and switched the mighty afterburners on those two EJ200s on, the car alarms in the car park went off!

is it the sound, or the vibrations that cause the alarms to go off?

Judging by what I felt going through my chest when I was standing about 100m from the engines on takeoff power, it's probably the vibrations!

Those EJ200s are immense - they just ripped the air to shreds. Words can't really describe what it was like!!

this soc has no active leader, volunteers?
I'll put myself forward as a volunteer unless Dream 123 has become society leader (however the original leader Knogle is still stated as leader in the society page).

I'm fairly active on TSR and don't mind creating new threads etc whatsoever.
