Biomedical Sciences B940

Hi is any 1 doing this course at either Newcastle or Northumbria?
Ive applied to both unis (along with sunderland and durham cos i really want to be in the north lol) not long ago and have so far got a conditional for northumbria today.
Has any 1 been to an open day yet for either of these or are planning on doing this too?
Is any 1 currently doing this degree? im just looking for general veiws really!
any comments wud b appreciated thanks!

hiya Ive applied for both- although Northumbria was purely as a insurance choice..

Ive applied for both- and personally I prefer Newcastle. The Nothumbria course is a lot more practical based whereas the Newcastle one is more theory etc.

Depends which uni you feel most at home at I guess! The entrance requirements are also higher for Newcastle *see my sig!*

ABB? oh dear! but it ses in the prospectus and on ucas that its 300 points so BBB! is that from a conditional then?

My friend got BBB so I think its dependable on you're predicted grades and yea theyre conditional :smile:

ive still not heard back from newcastle got a bad feelin tho! well my expected grades r BBB n i just got an unsuccessful from durham :frown:

n u need BBB for there 2! even tho i didnt want to go there i still feel like a failure! its probs cos i dont do chemistry! r u goin to the open day next week at northumbria? i am just booked my coach tickets n arranged to stay with my aunt in gateshead who i havnt say since i was bout 8 so shud b fun!

I don't do chemistry either but I do geog which is classed as my 2nd science. nah im not going to the northumbria one as i really dont wanna go there anymore going to the newc one on the 8th tho :smile:

i got a letter cum thru sayin i was gonna be made an offer so i shud cum to the open day! i cant make the 8th n so im goin up on the 22nd! hmm wonder what my offer will be? still not came up on ucas yet tho! ull have to tell me what u thought of the open day! is it far for u to travel?! im up n down the country this month got northumbria this weekend n then 22nd again for newcastle n then portsmouth in march, think i mite give brighton n sunderland a miss!

i live in newcastle- well 20mins away on train so ive been before- Its a really nice uni i think you'll like it. my offer didnt appear either for about 2 weeks so be patient and good luck! x

i got my offer for newcastle yesterday yay with a conditional of BBB! i went to newcastle in june last yr n i really liked it! cant wait to go up this weekend! travelin is a rite pain atm and its expensive but think i can claim all that money bk anyways! :smile:
