Napier Uni

Anyone heard of the place called Napier university. I had my heart set on going there and i have got in. However tryin to find Napier students on this site is virtually impossible.
Anyone studyin there who can let me no wat it is like?
Anyone got offers to go there in 2006?
Anyone going there to do biomedical science in 2006?
Just anyone going to Napier like.... ever?
Is there such a place or did i dream it?!
Seriously startin to worry, is it gonna be a ghost town?!

let me no if there is anyone out there who can answer these questions, please!

i visited napier with my school last year, it's a fine uni. the campus is gorgeous; they hold weddings & special events there a lot. it's not actually in edinburgh i think, but it's not far away. can't tell you about the biomedical sciece im afraid.

Napier does not have a good reputation at all. It varies for courses, but none of the subjects are rated excellent at all. If you want to study in Edinburgh, then Unis are rated as follows;

1.Edinburgh Uni - The best by far in Edinburgh
2.Heriot-Watt Uni - This is also a good uni for a lot of subjects and very friendly campus
3. Queen Margaret University - Good uni for healthcare, but for anything else it is pretty crap, not a great uni to go to either.
4.Napier - well this place is really just a polytechnic, vocational courses but i wouldn't call it a uni????

well i jst got a conditional for edinburgh i have to get ABB in english (no chance!!), chemistry (that'll be the A) and computing which i am not even studyin. Now wat do i do?!

hey! I applied for accounting and business there and have a conditional offer! I thought it was amazin! The place was alot nicer lookin than heriot watt, altho that is a better uni! I thought it would b rubbish but i was wrong!!! Don't listen to ppl who havn't seen the place it's really modern and so friendly! xx :smile:

its a whole different story for buisness or computing. The teaching standard and facilities for those subjects is high. For biomedical its a complete different story. The buildings may be nice, but thats not the most important thing.

Unless you are going for Computing or Business, I don't think I would advise anyone to go to Napier if they had an offer from Edinburgh. And yes I have been to both...

On the other hand, University is what you make of it. Regardless of where you go.
