Bad elbow problem

Was wondering if anyone has had this and if i should see someone about it.

I've had fairly bad tendinitis (tennis and golfer's elbow for a few years; it gets worse and better, but within the last week has suddenly got really bad; I can hardly bend it and this weird pit/dimple thing has appeared in the crook of the elbow which I'm sure wasn't there before.
I've tried to see the college nurse about it, but she isn't in. Obviously people on here aren't doctors etc etc, but do people think it's worth seeing a doctor about it or will they just say 'rest, ice etc' which is what I'm doing anyway?

Thanks

Ouch, I suffer from tendonitis in my arm too so I know how you feel, mine is worse on some days depending on what Ive been doing (the other day after doing some painting I was in agony for days but it seems to have settled down now). Perhaps try the ice and take ibuprofen, or try that stuff you apply directly to the area to see if that works. If you dont have any improvement, see your doctor as they might be able to give you a cortisone (sp?) injection, have you had that before?

No; haven't had one of those, am a bit wary as I read they weaken the tendons. Have you tried them?
