Sounds like you've had an allergic reaction - some anti-histemines, and a trip to the doctors?!

Aloe vera helps to calm irritated or inflamed skin, and honey has healing properties, so you could try either of those.

I put some body shop face mask on which was my Mums. The next morning I had acne all down the left hand side of my face. My face is covered in red patches and feels like it is going to start bleeding.

I am not sure how to sooth it. Cream will presumably irritate the spots?

Get well soon.

Not at all. The Romans used to put it on war wounds to help skin heal more quickly. They got the idea from the Greeks and Egyptians. It's also antibacterial and can help prevent scarring. Loads of skincare products contain honey, as do many recipes for DIY face masks.

When my skin gets really dry I put honey on it for a while because it's a great moisturiser and helps prevent spots without drying the skin out the way a lot of acne creams do.

It's also great for sore throats. I just eat it off the spoon. It soothes irritation and acts as a mild antiseptic.

You could try Hc45 cream? I find that works for me.

And don't forget, when you're all better (hopefully soon  ) write to the Body Shop telling them what happened, and maybe they'll send you some vouchers! (hehe what am I like?!) :p:

And also check the ingredients list of the product, and if there's something in there that you know that you don't usually use, remember to avoid it in the future.

Probably another Body Shop con, I mean, even the name is a lie, the only thing you can't buy there are bodies.
