Growing Out Hair - Males

Ok its been around 2 months since I had a hair cut. Im trying to grow it out but as its become longer more hairs fall out and I have to wash it every day and use a styling product to keep it in good shape. Every night after I wake up my hair tends to go all bushy type but as soon as a shower with shampoo/conditioner it is very soft and managable.

I read in another forum that you should cut your hair every 6 months regardless if your growing it out or not.
Well if thats the case what do I get for my sides and back as I want to grow my back also?

Ive been growing my hair for about a year and a bit. Honestly don't bother cutting it, just let it grow.

I personally couldn't do it because having hair anywhere near my eyes drives me mad.

Once it's past a certain point it's ok. But you do get hair everywhere and it takes ages to dry. That's why I got mine cut in the end.

ok...some people are a bit narrow minded.

apparently if you cut your hair more often it will grow faster, i dont know if its true but my friends growing his hair out and when he gets it cut it grows really fast back to its origional length then seems to stop growing. not entirely sure what thats about. you dont have to get it shaved up jst tell them to trim it with scissors, or dont go to a barbers go to a salon..they scissor trim it there

Eww, i hate guys that have long hair. It scares the hell out of me. The feeling is the same when i see emo's guys wearing girls skinny jeans. It's not a good look both.

Bah! long hair's fine!hehe, when its about down to your eyes it looks really emo, annoying and dumb, since it ends up in a sweeping shape accross you r face, which looks styled and is bad, but once its below your chin theres no problems :smile:

I didnt 'grow' my hair...just didnt cut it..

I think the swept across the face thing is beautiful. A boy only has to wear a stripy jumper and have his hair like that and my heart is his. Oh dear, how terribly shallow I am.

I always get bored of having long hair (I'm on the third cycle of my teens of growing it and then getting it cut and growing it again...). It's just more effort than short hair.

Even when it's long it's good to go get it trimmed and tidied up, it gives it a better shape.
