Im applying for Psychology and the universities Ive applied for ask for AAB. I got an A in Art, B in Biology and B in Psychology and they were both 1 mark off A's which is written in my reference. However, my predicted grades are ABB. In my reference it also says how Ive had family problems which affected my results. Will the universities still give me an offer even though my predicted grades are lower than what they want? I know I will be able to get the AAB.

There's no way to know. It certainly makes them riskier choices but if you have extenuating circumstances that could be in your favour.

If you were one mark off of A's could you not ask your teacher(s) to predict you A's?

Anyway, you should still be fine to apply. As long as the rest of your application is OK they may well still give you an offer. I'm predicted AAB (similar to you, should be able to get the B up to an A) and I've got an interview and an offer from places where the requirements are higher.

    Good luck!

Yep, a few people have had lowered requirements and offers above their predicted grades. This has included Kent and Nottingham from what I recall.

That will be very risky,I think.

I think you should have tried to get A predictions if you were only 1 mark off an A?!

If I were in your situation I would still expect a few offers given that your reference states how close you were to A's and about the family stuff
Where have you applied out of interest?
