What is the workload like, what kind of work do you do in class, for homework, etc, etc.

    Thanks in advance! x

Exactly the same as someone i know ( well, different exam boards ). People might tell you not to do two languages, or two essay subjects, but ultimately if you're interested in the work then it wont be too taxing. Admittedly out of those subjects i only do history, but what i would say is that, yes, the essays are time consuming, but in general i find that i only get homework once a fortnight. You might find that some weeks you have a lot of work, and other weeks very little, but whatever subject combination people do there is always a workload.
Do what you are most interested in, and the work wont be as much of a burden.
