Hi everyone, for my extended project I am studying depression and its treatments. However, I am having trouble finding decent sources on the internet for the causes of depression. Most websites I've found are just aimed at patients so the information is very basic.

Can anyone point me to some websites which have in-depth scientific information for depression and its causes? Thanks in advance, rep to anyone that helps .

Perhaps you could try looking for books?

Or anyway, this onlien book seems informative. I'd leave the realibilty judging to you. http://books.google.co.uk/books?hl=e...page&q&f=false

Go onto Google Books and type in 'depression' or whatever you need to find out, type the keywords. You are able to preview many pages of a book and get very useful sources without having to buy it. It was very useful in my EPQ for showing a range of sources.

Try a website like Science Direct, Web of Science or PubMed and you'll find tonnes and tonnes of papers from scientific journals. Most of them won't help, but if you can find a good review article that'll set you up nicely.
