Both 2cosxsecx and 2cotxtanx integrate to 2x (plus a constant). What makes you think otherwise? Are you sure you copied the Q out right?

Forgive me for saying but this whole thread seems like some sort of prank.

I mean exactly what I put. Integrals require constants, but I don't think that is really the issue here, so it can just be forgotten.
