Yesterday at Herfordshire I got 100% in the English and Maths tests, and today at Brighton I got 100% in the Maths and 50% in the Engliish  The question was 'In under 250 words, tell us about your journey here'. I wrote 240 words, spelt everything correctly and used correct grammar; I don't know where I went wrong! I asked the interviewer about it and she said she didn't know because she didn't mark the papers!

In the interview there was only one interviewer (which I thought was weird, because I've heard there's supposed to be at least two interviewers, so that just one can't reject you if they have a prejudice against you or something). She asked about my work experience in a nursing home, and she didn't look pleased when in my personal statement I referred to it as a hospice (the place even has 'hospice' in its name, but she didn't seem to quite believe it when she said that hospices are only places for dying people, which the people who I had experience with were not)

Brighton is my first choice and the one I really want to go to, and now I'm scared I've messed it all up. Has anyone else gotten a place when they thought it all went wrong? I can't stop thinking about it!

i havent had my interview yet as it is next week (sooo nervous!!) but dont worry, you seemed to have done really well considering you got top marks for your tests ( which by the way do they tell you after the interview what results you got?) overall how did you feel the interview went..did you have a group dicussion..i dont think the interview can base it all on this one remark she's got to take other things into considerations..i hope you get a place as i feel unprepared for my interview..hope you get in!! Good luck and i know its hard but dont worry..just stay positive!!

Yeah in both my interviews they told me the results of the tests as soon as I got in the room. I think the interview went okay, but the interviewer didn't seem to even want to to be there! There wasn't any group discussion, just waiting in the bigger room and they took us in one by one. Thanks and good luck too

The only thing you can do is wait it out, but I'm pretty sure you'll be given an offer. One of my best friends cocked up her adult nursing interview at Brighton royally, and still got an offer so fingers crossed! Also, everyone that applies seems to get an offer... although I'm not sure if that's just because I and everyone I know there already live in Brighton (I don't go to the university though) ahah.

Last year only about 1 in 10 interviewed got an offer. Didn't know one person at my interview day who lived locally. My interview was also with one person (after having done tests and watched a video). We just sat around in reception down stairs waiting to be called. (I was offered a place about 2 weeks later but turned it down). Maybe the interviewer was having an off day?

You should be fine! 50%'s not bad, I think i've messed up my Herts interview. I did awfully, somehow I got 60% in the English?! I don't even understand how, I have a B in English Literature A Level so I hope they look at that. But in the maths I got 40%, which is basically 4/10 which is awful.. I asked them if it mattered and if I could retake and they said it doesn't matter as they look at everything as a whole, still I think its going to let me down massively. Good luck anyway!!
