silens_faatus- that riding/sex thing is HILARIOUS!!!! HAHA!!!!

Have successfully enrolled and started my new job which is excellent so uni is crap and job and flat are FANTASTIC!!
Good to hear you are officially sorted etc.... why is uni crap  and what job you doing? Isn't it usually the other way round... crummy job, but awesome uni life?

Mind you, i loved my job too!!!! But I actually worked at the college I went too... I was unqualified door staff at our weekly bob - was great fun and earned the nickname mini wolverine

I agree that riding/sex thing was v funny... funnily enough I actually said something along the lines of "let me get my whip..." to someone on the phone - they had no idea what I was talking about and jumped to some interesting conclusions.... i soon explained lol :p:

It's crap because I'm not into going out and 'socialising' and so whilst everyone's having fun I just don't see the point and don't do it....I'm working at a really great Italian restaurant with a fantastic group of people (Italians, Russian, Albanian) one of whom just happens to be drop dead gorgeous!!!! (one of the Italians of course!!) so that helps too!! I work Tuesday-Friday at either 6-10 or 7-11.

Plus I've already got my first piece of coursework which actually counts and is ridiculous- there's a question on climate change, but OH NO you don't answer the question you have to evaluate the usefulness/reliability of over 20 sources which will take YEARS to find let alone read and there's a RIDICULOUSLY low word limit of 1,200 which is just STUPID!!

HAHA!! Mini wolverine!! You were ferocious then?? I was having a conversation about riding at the restaurant the other day and was discussing something along the lines of 'yeah he really needs riding, you really have to sit down into him' at which point the fit Italian looked greatly confused and had to say something!! Like you I explained V. quickly!!!!

To top it all off I have given myself TWO black eyes and so look like a V tired racoon/panda becuase of a fox doing it's bizarre mad dog/fighting cat bark/noise RIGHT outside my window, causing me to jump like I'd been shot- smack myself across my face and so have two MARVELLOUS black eyes!! FANTASTIC!!!!

That's fair enough if you are not really into it but is is a good way to get to know folks and wind down... also, good way of meeting peeps you can pool info with - that's what we used to do. A couple of us would get together, one would find resource 1-3, the next 2-5 etc... good time saver! Nice eye candy at work is never a bad thing And italian food - awesome! Sounds like you work alot of hours considering you got uni work too?

That does sound pretty killer!!! Tiny word limit too - not fun!

I could be at times lol... just didn't take any flak of anyone! Was great coz I had 2 6' blokes to back me up too... although one was a bit useless and would hide in the back whilst I was diving into the action Had surprisingly hairy incidents considering I went to a little agricultural college, knives, fights and all sorts! On the whole though, not too crazy!

OMG!!  poor you - sounds like you are having a right time of it!! Is quite a funny story though :p: and I'm sure they'll soon go

Hope things brighten up for you, give it time, everyone is still settling! Good luck with the (killer) course work and watch out for more crazy riding innuendo's lol!

Thanks guys. He's being retrained for dressage at the minute so the goal is for me to use him for dressage, keep J for getting fitter/jumping and as long as this gelding is sane to hack then Wzz can hack him out. He sounds sane enough if he's used to fake guns going off near his head. :p:

Yeah I understand about pooling work stuff and I have to work in a partnership for one set of lectures but the girl is STRANGE!!!! Eye candy is not a strong enough description...he is to DIE for!!!! I only work Tuesday, Wed, Thurs, Fri- a total of 16 hours, and if it's quite then I'm allowed to go home so it's not bad at all

Hideous word limit indeed!! What's the point?! Sounds scary where you use to work!! Today we all nearly died because it was quite chilly and these two girls walked past wearing next to nothing- we couldn't stop laughing!! And then a schoolgirl went past wearing only her shirt and shoes!! NO SKIRT!! WARGH!! Was AWFUL!!

I never wear makeup and just slapped a load of it over them tonight so the Sex God didn't notice...SCORE!!!! Thanks for your reply- made me laugh, going to sleep soon and then a weekend of work....WOO!!

well i decided that dawn's leg had healed a bit but not fully and there was no more improvement happening so i called the vet out today, luckily dawn was sitting down in the field ( she hardly ever does that) and that meant that the vet could have a good look without dawn stamping her foot as she was so fed up with me fiddling with it. the vet said it was similar to mud fever but couldn't understand why dawn had it as there is no mud about  so she said that she would give us some anti-biotics to give to her. so i have to be really nice to my dad now as he has to inject her with 20ml a day in her neck, dawn will not be happy
The vet gave her a jab in her bum and when i went out later i could see where it had bled afterwards was going to ride her but i thought she might have muscle ache where the vet had banged her a few times before letting the needle go in - naughty vet!
So hoping that her leg will go back to normal by the end of next week and my friend won't keep worrying me with all these horrific things that it "could be".
So, dawn on the mend (fingers crossed) and back to haveing purple spray on - vet thought it was a good idea, dawn disagreed

Glad I made you chuckle!! Good thinking re: make up and black eyes, does sound like you have a lot of fun at work too... i.e. laughing at crazy girls who seem to either a) mistake clouds for the sun or b) mislay their clothes... wtf?

    Take care

Coss... poor dawn, though glad there is light at the end of the tunnel.. is your dad good with horses? I'm not a fan of injecting them, its the feeling as the needle goes into the skin, makes me all squimish, once its in its ok. What method does your dad use, pinching the skin and putting the needle in or the couple of large pats before jabbing the needle in?

BH... a gun proof horse, wil probably be FJ proof too, v useful if its living near a base think of the fun you can have with that!

Apparently foaly had a bit of a crazy day y'day... vet came over to castrate him as he is now about 6 months (born easter sunday).

So he jabs foaly to knock him out but instead of being a good foaly and going down like expected, he decided to fight it.... by bolting off, brother in tow as he is holding on to his leadrope, crashing through the fence (litteraly) and charging off down the avenue towards the stables!

So my bro and the vet chase after him, catch him and vet gives him another jab, which again he fought, not quite so successfully this time as he nodded off as required and the vet gave him 'the chop'. As soon as he could though, foaly was back on his feet strutting around - even after the ver had apparently given him enough anasthetic to knock out our 16hh 3 yr old

What a crazy horse - have nicknamed him dozer (as in bull ) - what kind of foal crashes through a fence!!! Luckily he escaped injury and is doing fine, minus his manhood :p:

Dad not great with horses. says he hates them but i know thats not entirely true. he does like dawn, just wont admit it. his method is the large pat and jab method. thats what the vet did too, but she was thumping dawn's bum no wonder dawn squealed when the needle went in. dad is gentally and i would say, better at injecting than the vet was
Mum still looking after them so i get to check up on the horses tomorrow or sat. i miss them.
