But if give something to someone, and they chuck it back in your face? Why the hell would you want to be friends with the person in the first place.

People should appreciate your gift because it was thoughtful, not because of how expensive it is.

What is it, a small bottle of champagne? If so, it's not chavy but rather a sneaky gift because it implies they have to share it with you.

Freixenet would not be classed as a chavvy drink, it's one of the best cavas. It's not champagne though, it's pretty much the next best thing.

Oops, okay, it says the truffles are champagne truffles but the bottle is cava.
