fainting can be caused by a number of different reasons, if the doctors havnt picked up on it, its unlikely to be something like anemia because that is preety easy to find out. it may be reason such as panic attacks or something along them lines.
if your really worried you should go and get a second oppinion from another source because doctors arnt always right.

I was kinda anxious last time but Id just banged my elbow I felt sick, I wouldn't class myself as a wimp so why do these little things make me faint?

Yeah- banging my elbow often makes me feel sick......something to do with the nerve in there- distinctly NOT a 'funny bone' as it BLOODY hurts!!! Maybe thats why you fainted? The pain?
Someone in assembly at 6th form fainted last week as the headteacher was describing what happens during a blood donation (the bloodmobile was coming the following week and he was trying to encourage new donors to come forward. I don't think it worked for that person though.)

I faint sometimes, and it's pretty scary. Currently have an unattractive bruise on my chin from fainting in my kitchen and banging into the side. Ouch.

It happens to me when I haven't eaten enough, I think. I agree that you should probably get a second opinion though, if you can't find the cause of it, bc I don't think randomly fainting is so common... Unless it is the pain causing it, which I guess it could be.. like your body shutting down to block it out.

Sorry I couldn't be of much help. But do seek a second opinion.
When I was aneamic I used to faint. I have also fainted because of lack of food. I've hit my head many times through fainting, the larg dent I got from one such time was not attractive and neither was the cut and bruse :frown: . Most people faint at some point so it's nothing to worry about unless it starts happening to you too often.
A very common cause of fainting is low blood pressure on standing. I suffer from this, and it's quite nasty as the fainting itself can leave you with nasty injuries from where you have fallen! Try to stand up more slowly, and stand still for a few seconds before moving. Also, avoid standing still for long periods of time (causes a lot of people to faint too)

I have. I was sandwhiched in between 500 people and I'm pretty short. I've never done it before, but there was no water around. Crap though. Everything went brown for a while...this sort of...blotching brown...then everything went black and i dont remeber like a few seconds.
i have a firend who frequently blacks out, she fell the other week and sprained her wrist because she blacked out.. hers is caused by having a low blood pressure so she doesn't get enough blood traveling to the brain, and she balcks out and beacuse she ends up on the floor she is flat and the blood can get to her brain again. but basically its due to low blood pressure, there are so many reasons as to why you can black out, but its best to go get your blood pressure tested.
yeah i agree with the whole low blood pressure thing. i passed out on holiday after id been on the phone too long in the sun without drinking enough, and some woman woke me up shouting and went running to get the doctor:redface:
how embaressing. anyways she took my blood pressure said it was too low, then made me eat a lump of feta cheese before she let me go, because it has salt in it.
feta cheese is disgusting, i might add.

My Mum passed out on the stairs once, but then she had spent the whole day in a room filled with paint fumes.

i fainted after having the MMR vaccine on thursday in front of everyone in the GP's surgery - i was so confused; i was dreaming then i woke up on the floor! i'd felt really tired, sick and dizzy before! it was sooo embarassing!!!!
I fainted last week. I was watching tv for about an hour and suddenly got up to go to the toilet and just before i arrived i felt slightly sick and went blank and found myself on the floor. I had no bruises (thankfully) and couldn't believe what happened!

Do you get really scared and go fuzzy on waking up? Its the worst experience ever its not the embarrasment just the feeling of it

If it happens alot i think you should go to the dr's but it is usually as somebody else said low blood pressure to the brain, tell people who you usually hang around with to raise your feet and this will let the blood flow back into the vital parts of your body.
A couple of times yeah...

one time I was getting out of a bath, and I just fainted. I obviously was out for a while as I when I came to I had burned the side of my face and my ear on the radiator I was laying unconscious against.

Another time was the morning after a heavy night out, I was reading an article on the internet and I just randomly fainted, I hit my head on the way down (no idea where but I had cuts on my forehead). I remember being conscious for about 10 seconds before I could actually move my body, my neck in severe pain and what seemed like being paralysed. That was extremely scary but I soon went back to normal.

I get that, but often.
Mine are non-epileptic seizures, though I take around an hour to recover.
I was s**t scared too the first couple of times, but now I'm pretty used to them and just wait it out.
Bizarre feeling though, being trapped in your body, conscious, and totally paralysed. Ack.
I was scared s**tless by it. Took me about 20 minutes to recover once I had got out of the momentary paralysis, getting some fresh air did the world of good.
