I find alcohol usually dries my skin out quite badly. Never really noticed spots though.

Just make sure you drink lots of water before and after drinking.

Drugs and alcohol are also culprits in causing acne. When the body cleans itself, it sends drugs and alcohol out through the skin, through sweat. Then the pores clog: clogged pores are one of the reasons for acne. The skin pores become clogged and oils and dirt become trapped. They then become infected, which is what we call pimples, whiteheads and blackheads.

Sounds eww but yeah, it is possible.

Hmmm, I've always thought that alcohol may lead to spots because it causes dehydration, and often being well enough hydrated is enough to make spots disappear  . Don't know if thats at all right, we may have to wait for a medic.

Alcohol does cause spots, for me. It's not a particularly healthy substance lets face it.

But i do avoid drinking alcohol if i can b/c it does mess my skin up - some people will have more sensitive biology than others, so of course, consumption of drugs will have different effects on different people.

I don't drink yet I still have spots, so alchohol won't be the sole reason. It may be a catalyst though

I have never heard that before. Thinking of my most "alcoholic" friend and she has the most perfect skin ever - so not true in her case.
