What's a good personality when dating?

Someone that makes you laugh, that's always good. Especially if it's the first date, it kind of breaks the ice and makes you feel more confortable.

Lil_lee's got a point actually. A good sense of humour is the first step to keep the conversation going. S/he doesn't want a boring date! lol
The basic manners of being a gentleman (if youre a boy), etc.
Just remember that don't be fake. Just be your self.

It's better to know that someone likes you for who you really are than to be liked by someone who isn't the real you, as this would entail long-term problem, if you get me.

Yeah of course it's important that the person your dating can make you laugh, but you need to remember that everyone's got their own sense of humour so it's only certain people who can make them laugh. Some people might not even want their partner to make them laugh!

Well then that can determine if it is a good or bad date... if I went out on a date with someone who had a different sense of humour to me and didn't make me laugh and feel comfortable, I wouldn't want to go out on a date with them again!

Good personality = one that the person you're dating enjoys! Doesn't necessarily have to be humour-based if that's not your style, it's so very variable!

Yes, but it all depends on your own opinions of what you think makes a good personality! I think that if someone on a date is very self-absorbed it is a bad trait, but someone else may see that as a good trait!
