i've only just done my induction haha, my first day is next week, but all's good so far. one thing i'd like clarified is, is your next email an actual email address you can send and receive emails from? and if so, how do you log into your next email account? thanks

the next email is usually only used to log into training at the store or into yapster/NEP etc, but you should still be able to email with it like a normal email. if next ever needs to email things to you, e.g news about upcoming event, then its normally sent your your personal email that you signed up with. you should be emailed your details to your work email shortly after your induction

ah i see, i'll wait for the email with my work details then. i was just asking because i think i need to access that email in order to verify that i work for next on my linkedin. also, when i try to sign in to yapster with that email, it says the email isn't registered with yapster, so maybe it isn't activated yet?

Okay thanks i was thinking it could be next beauty but my store doesn’t have a specific department for that, all the beauty stuff is just on stands within the women’s section so idk

it could be next brands, is your store big enough to hold the different brands we do, gap, laura ashley, vs, etc?

It’s 25% off Next, Lipsy, Victoria Secret and I think 10% off other branded items off the Next website

it depends which store you’re wanting to apply to because not all have a lot of jobs in stockroom as there’s not many things to do behind there. my contract is on the shop floor but i still work behind the scene sometimes and people who have a contract in the stockroom work on shopfloor. so it’s just based on how understaffed that store is to need more people in the back

Hi, I started at Next on Tuesday in the stockroom. Am I able to pick up some women's wear shifts or other sections without having the training first? One person made me think I could, and another made me think I couldn't. Is there an actual rule on this?

Is there a way to skip through the training videos on the parts you've already seen and know and answered correctly, to get to the one you got a question incorrect on? There was a 5 part video and I failed in part 4, but it seems like I'm stuck and have to rewatch the first 3, but surely that's a waste of time?

hey, you need training to be able to know how to use the tills and what to do on the floor etc. But you’ll need to do training for the stockroom too which you’ll probably do in your first shift. You can pick up any available shifts you want, then all your training will be over quicker

Thank you. So if I signed up to the women's wear shift I'd get the training for tills and what to do in the floor within that shift theoretically speaking?

it means excluded meaning you aren’t on a specific department so it could be for your review
