I hate next for that! They promise not to change shifts in the 48hr period before it without notifying you but they still do. And about the extra hours you did you need to tell them and keep doing so until your paid. I did a 9.5 hour shift over sale and I was paid for 5 of those hours... sneaky buggers.

Next constantly change my shifts as and when they please it happens a LOT in my store. But they are not suppose to change any shifts without asking you, your rota is supposed to be a 2week fixed rota, so if anyone changes your shifts you can argue this.

Glad it's not just the store I work at then! You can also argue you don't have to work the shifts not on your contract because they weren't agreed.

Can anyone tell me the rules of overtime as I feel im being forced to work two hours over time every single shift. I spoke to the manager however he claims that we are required to have a flexi hour but when I mentioned that I was working two hours over time he stated that my half an hour break in between that was added to the end. But it still doesn't add up. I'm soo confused. Some of the days I needed up working 2 and a half hour overtime but he mentioned that if the jobs are not completed we are required to stay back and finish until done.

Hi, I was wondering if I could get some help about working as a stockroom assistant?

I had my first shift the other day and we were briefly shown how to strip/tag/hang/cube the items etc and then scan them to sort between stockroom and shop floor. But I was never shown how to work the HHT (is it called that? HTT? who knows - the hand held thing!) so when I was putting things out in the stockroom, I was still under the timer for scanning and it made me go way over my target. D:

Can anyone tell me how you remove yourself from the tasks and add yourself onto new tasks? If that is what you do; as I said, I'm not sure how it works!

Another thing, I cannot log into learning portal? One of the managers said I'd get my password (I've got my payroll number) after I've checked in and out for the first time, aka my first shift, but I'm still yet to get my password? How will I get the password?

You would press the dot (.) on the bottom left assuming you're on 3 way scan then you would go into remove staff, select yourself then press the dot again and go into put out womens/mens/kids (whatever you're doing) then select add staff and select your name or payroll number then when you're finished and back on your workstation you add yourself back to your workstation.

Also, how long roughly did it take you all to get your staff discount cards? I've been working there for 9 weeks now and I'm yet to receive mine. Should I follow up with my manager?

Hi. I'm currently in week 3 of my permanent employment and I see a lot of shifts up for grabs on the market but I don't know what all the abbreviations mean. I know cw is children's wear ww women's Wear mw and DL. Does anyone know RP, or any more that might appear.

You go on your work station, scan your boxes on to your work station, unpack, tag, hang, 3 way scan, and put on rail in order. After your rail is full you would remove yourself from the workstation, put yourself on put out, do that, then go back to your work station and re-add yourself on it.

You're supposed to get the discount card after 2 weeks. I'd been there for about 5 weeks thinking my manager would come to me about the card, but you have to go to the office and ask if it's there (or you do in my store at least). And the online shopping discount you have to have been working there for at least 12 weeks, and I've only been here for 6/7, so I don't know about that.

Look through the directory
Use the till
Use HHT
Or walk the shop floor?

Hi I've just started as a Xmas temp,when will I get my name badge? Do you also get a next strap like I've seen some staff wearing could really do with one to put my locker key on!I am gutted I've been told I am not allowed the uniform allowance even though I am working 6 days a week so I will have to buy my clothes myself 👎🏼 Also another question , does EVERYONE get paid for the induction?? For my first pay it shows this? Does this mean I am not getting paid for the induction??? 😕
