I have a writing piece to do tommorow and I would like my German teacher's reaction to be ":zomg: Chicken... this is amazing *faints*"

So what type of structures should I use?

In what subject? are you happy with it?

Well I'm not sure what structures you actually know, but some ideas could be zwar...aber, je...desto, was...betrifft, adjective + zu infinitive or other zu infinitives (including ohne...zu, anstatt...zu and um...zu), passive, subjunctive? And not to forget lots of subordinate clauses to back up your arguments with weil, da, denn, obwohl, deshalb, deswegen etc.
In maths. I'm going to resit it in the summer.

Do you even live near the sea? :wtf:

Resit needed :frown:

 There are these funny little things called lakes. /smart aresness

Ouch. In what?

zwar...aber, was... betrifft :dontknow: I've never used them before... could you tell me how? If it's too much trouble don't worry :nah:

I'm practising the passive and I've probably used the subjunctive before but I can't recognize it

:console: I hope you aren't too disappointed :sadnod:

Was...betrifft is like as far as ... is concerned and works like was mich betrifft oder was die Umwelt betrifft, sollen wir recyceln.
Zwar...aber is like though and works like ich hatte zwar kein Geld, ging aber noch mit meinem Freund ins Kino.
A good subjunctive phrase to use is es sei denn, which means unless. Do you have a textbook or something? There should be a section about it, a good way to get the subjunctive in would be by using reported speech e.g. sie sagten, es sei sonnig.

Nah, I really was expecting a B, I didn't revise enough so I do deserve it.

It really does! It doesn't look like very many women do it though. I have friends that do free running! They keep breaking bones and dislocating things though :s-smilie:
Yeah. Thank you  But somehow I don't think Cambridge will agree, even if it is completely irrelevant to my subject. How did you do?
