Christ get a life

Reply 3

If i can ask, why did you skip?

I wouldn't worry an awful lot, it took 3 months until my school got in contact with my parents. Sometimes we all need a break.

Reply 4

"how did you get over it?"

Reply 5

I shouldn't think it'll harm you permanently...enjoy your free day and watch the variety of quality shows that are day time tv.

Reply 6

Oh my good god, why are you feeling guilty?

Reply 7

Over the course of my education I must have missed over 200 days and I don't feel guilty tbh.

Reply 8

You can just call school and say you're not coming in? Back in my day you needed a note from the 'rents...hence my becoming a master forger and writing sick notes the best criminal would be proud of lol.

Don't worry about it, everyone does it. And booo on your mum for not believing you in the first place.

If you skip a day from school, uni, work whatever, make sure you enjoy the damn day! akin to err ferris bueller movie, my goodness once you've handled the deceit in phoning someone up, hopefully succeeding with the deceit, enjoy yourself and don't contemplate anything about school. You are kind of being a hypocrite here - take day off, be a rebel in a way, yet feel guilty about it? jesus christ...enjoy yourself, watch some dvds all day or just generally chill out a bit.

I took a day off in first yr at uni and it felt so good watching the members of my seminar group walk past my window to go to the departmental seminar - i was watching porn in the meanwhile, joke. No, i was tucked up in bed, so nice and warm, watching the Rain Man, starring Dustin Hoffman and Cruise - excellent film. Just enjoy yourself, forget about the rationality behind your absence.

No i took off hmm 25-28% in the first yr, sustained 95% attendance rate in second yr and similar this yr (third year), and of course, the greatest irony is that my results were far higher in the first yr than they have been in the 2nd and 3rd. Sums me up in a nutshell really. I enjoy the game that is 'truancy' - it feels somewhat risky, bit of adrenaline buzz when you sometimes have to confront someone in person - i can lie to strangers so well, phone or in person, can lie to my parents on the phone (sometimes deceit is for the common good, i only lie to parents when i think this is the case), but i struggle to lie in front of them - they can tell straight away, at least my mum can.

GOOD GOD!!! WHY would you count.....
ah...maybe that's why you're anon..bit too cool for school eh?! HA

My school is cracking down on truancy, if you're not in by 11 they phone your parents, and even if your parents say you're sick/uni open day etc.. they still demand a written note. If you have more than 6 unauthorised absences thats 3 days (morning and afternoon), they will send your parents a warning and then a £50 fine. There are still ways and means around this, I have merely had to hone my migrane acting skills......:p:

My attendance in 6th year was 45%, needless to say i have now been asked to leave lol

Reply 16

aww.. first time truency person
i wouldn't worry. they aren't going to do much i shouldn't think.. as long as you take in a note from your mummeh - which you may have to forge :P  yay!

at my college us or our parents can e-mail and say were ill

Woo I managed to skive off a week and half at the start of this term (I had S.A.D.! Really!) so err.. one day isn't a big deal. There are loads of people at my Sixth Form who you see like once every few weeks.

Lol, dont feel bad, i mean, if i subconsciously tell myself a lesson is cancelled because a teachers ill, hell, i'll take that lesson off..or if a teacher has been away for the morning, but i know she'll be in, in the afternoon, i'll take it off anyway and say i assumed it was off

Everyone does it, i mean, christ, everyone needs a break.
