Was fine, was there for about 3 hours though, apparently I've been put in for a search operative role. And, because my passport expires before November, I should of brought my full birth certificate apparently :-| could of told me that before I went all the way from Northampton to Upton Park! :') so now I've got to either take it down to Stratford personally or post it to them within 10 days! :frown:

Although I really dont see why my passport expiring in November make that necessary?? :s

Up to 60 days for the CRB check to go through and for me to hear back apparently !

yeah had the same problem with another bit of the app, had to mail it to them....they were like "oh you could send your provisional driving licence".... what the original?! in the post?! Are you joking! haha

Hopefully it has been sorted and im being CRBed at the mo....

Conflict History - explain a time when you resolved a conflict, and what actions you took.

:s-smilie: What constitutes as a conflict?? I'm not sure if I've ever been in one where I've actually diffused it (unless you call when your getting mugged and you just handed over your stuff counts as one)

also for clothes, would a white shirt, black trousers and a jacket do?

quote please

Yeah that would be fine, although a suit is better

If you can't think of one, just make one up :P

Although that situation sort of sounds alright

But if I make it up I'll be having a field day, I'll go on like I was 4 times the size I am now and managed to stop someone twice the size of my 4 times person.

bump. anyone know what to say for a situation you have diffused cause I don't know whether I'm lucky that I haven't been in one?

What kind of work experience have you had? You can always use something at uni/college such as an argument between friends or something similar that you helped to keep under control.

I'm ashamed to admit I've never actually had any arguments. Work experience also the manager dealt with customers and I never had any problems with the customers.

Any other girls applied for the role? My interview is next week and I'm slightly weirded out by the 'smell' test haha. Also if I get the job, I really hope the uniform doesn't make me look butch!
How awesome would it be if we could escort athletes or be backstage!!

Smell test isn't anything to catch you out, although stupidly in my panic I forgot the smell of a well known fruit, although I did mention that it wasn't as strong as alcohol. After a very long and awkward time of me smelling it I finally remembered the name :colondollar:

Yeah, honestly it's only there to detect whether your nose works or not!

Yeah someone phoned me up and signed me up for the xray test bit? Why they couldn't do this some time ago God knows......

I've decided to drop it, it doesn't seem to be worth the hasstle, and working 12 Hour shifts sitting infront of an xray isn't exactly my idea of fun

Agree with u on that mate big hassle, i mean i went today as they told me to, filled up a few forms in training after lunch lady from g4s calls me in saying that they will not allow me on the course for a conviction i spent already and the offence took place 4 years ago which they cannot use against me, i learnt my mistake like ffs ..so she gave back my passport and ID and stuff so i went, i mean if that was the case why have they processed my application till training ?

No ones said anything to me about training? :frown: infact I've heard nothing since the interview!

But then, I as selected to be a search operative, not an x ray scanner, and you all seem to have been invited to X-ray training?

Sorry mate :frown: It really sucks, and I knew from the start it was going to be a pain..... two months for clearing is ridiculous!!!

Oh well, at least I can enjoy my Summer now.

It has dawned on me, what happens if your the xray operator who lets the bomb through, your fault or not.....? I would feel pretty crap....... and I'm sure others would feel even worse!!!

I had my training this week, at my college. The instructors made sure everyone passed (lol). I have my interview with G4S this weds coming. I'm not too worried about the interview to be honest. As the instructors said, once you have the NVQ in door supervision/Physical intervention then you can apply for the SIA license and work as a security anywhere you wish. Also they stated that working for V-festival or other events like that will pay far more than the Olympics. So that's something to take into consideration
