Some say 7hrs is the optimum time, and less or more "may do us harm."

12 hours usually. Go to bed at 12, wake up at 12. It's a good routine.

8/10 if I can but I tend to spend a lot of time trying to get to sleep rather than sleeping (even if I try going to bed later and wake up early) .

The amount of sleep a person needs is different for everyone

In the holidays I can sometimes end up sleeping for 10 hours. In term I'll sometimes go a few weeks with only 4 hours a night.

I have to be disciplined with myself, i could happily let myself sleep in until 2 in the afternoon if i dont have an alarm to wake me if i dont anything to do for that day :/ but yeah normally my routinue is between 4-6 hours of sleep a night.

Maximum 6. I consider it a waste of time to have any more when I could be doing something much more productive. I could get away with 5 if I really wanted to, though I would feel it more at the end of the week.

I can get by on a pretty small amount. 7 hours is a really good night, 5 1/2 - 6 is probably average, but I could get by on less than that for a few days probably. I rarely ever sleep more than 7 1/2, if ever.

I get about six hours normally: in bed at midnight, up at 0600.

It's actually been shown that people who sleep less live longer. Just don't ask for a citation; it's something I read bloody years ago.
