Raincoat or waterproof jacket
Dark, conventional-style lounge suit Evening wear and for some functions in the Mess.
Blazer/Sports jacket Dark blue or black blazer.
Collared shirts Minimum of 3.
Ties Miniumum of 2, conservative style.
Slacks Cotton, in the style of chinos to go with the blazer.
Casual Clothing For wear when off duty. Any form of casual clothing is acceptable in your own room.
Scruff clothes For use during cleaning of equipment. Old track suit bottoms or jeans.
Sports clothing, dark coloured swimmingtrunks and equipment for personal use Cadets intending to play tennis, squash, badmington, golf etc, are advised to bring their own raquets or clubs.
Ronhills and long sleeve top Dark colour. For use in cold weather under PT kit.
Shoes Black leather lace up shoes.
Running trainers Invest in a good pair.
Note Extremes of fashion, for example leather or suede jackets, denim material and jeans or white or brightly coloured socks, may not be worn in the Mess.
FEMALE

Sweaters/blouses Weekday evenings and at weekends.

Suit carrier
Good quality iron Many cadets also choose to bring their own ironing board.
Wooden coat hangers Men: 7 jacket hangers, 2 trouser hangers. Women: 7 jacket hangers, 2 trouser hangers & 2 skirts hangers.
Washing liquid/tablets
Wash kit
Towels x 4 3 towels for sport/shower and 1 hand towel - dark colour so they can be used in the field as well.
Shoe boxes and copier paper boxes. You must have everything tidied away in boxes. there is storage space for 6 of each. Alternatively plain plastic boxes may be used.
Kiwi black shoe polish and brushes x 2 sets One set for normal use and a small set for in the field.
SELVYT cleaning cloth/cotton wool For bulling shoes. Available from the Spar shop at RAF Cranwell.
Alarm clock Optinally with Radio/CD player - not too big.
Digital watch Dark colour with stopwatch
Old toothbrush/nailbrush For removing mud from boots
Bin bags For use inside kit bags. Dry bags available from OACTU Shop.

Torch Small, should be able to fit a red filter.
