The most promiscuous nation on earth

Now, this is a pure cultural question I find intriguing, having travelled quite a bit. FHM did a survey a couple of years back on the girls of which nationality were the most difficult to get into bed the first night  Apparently it was girls from India. Anyway, this is a far more serious debate. Subjective views are interesting (as long as they're founded and not based on some TV show or movie) but stats are what's important here: number of partners, cultural habits...

If this does not belong in H&R, a mod can move it. Since promiscuity is a relationship issue...

I don't think we should have a thread on this tbh. It's an awful form of stereotyping. Some Indian girls are sluts and will jump on top of any male they come across. Some won't. Same with any nationality. Also there is a cultural bias involved.

I was the original poster. Knowing about cultural characteristics of a country, their national character is not stereotyping (almost everyone on here get the two mixed up). If you went to Kenya and was starting a job there and had heard that Kenyas tend (that's the keyword to understand) to have a totally different work ethic to Europeans: some might characterise that as being "lazy" but said "No you can't stereotype, that's not nice", well unfortunately you won't have understood anything about the other culture. Knowing about a culture is very important in such a situation and if you refuse to believe any characteristics of a national character because you think it's "stereotyping", then you will never learn anything about a different culture.
When you say that a nation is the most promiscuous one, you're not saying that all of them are promiscuous. Just as saying that Norway is one of the richest nations on earth, yet you'll still find tramps there.

As for Indians, how many people from India do you know? I'm talking about culturality here not ethnicity. If you're referring to people who are of Indian origin and grew up in British culture, then that's not what national character is about.

I'm Indian, you'd be shocked as to the things some Indian/sub-continental girls get up to.
EDIT: and yes, what I said applies equally to those Indians who have lived in India all their life.

In my experience, a fair few Middle Eastern girls are pretty easy. I lived in that region all my life, so I would know.

Indian culture is well-known for its strong moral values but that doesn't mean that everyone will abide to them. The stronger the values, the harder some people will try to go against them.

In Europe, Spain is a very catholic country with rather strong moral values. The consequence of this is that on average Spanish teenagers lose their virginity a lot later and have a lot less partners than say British teenagers.

agreed.

I'm sorry to say, I don't think many Indians follow the aforementioned moral values anymore. I think as someone who (I assume) is not Asian, it's easy to simply consider Indians to adhere to a strong moral code etc, but what you fail to realise is that the things that do happen tend to be very hush-hush.
But yes, I agree with the Spain thing. But there however, moral behaviour is rooted in religion, whereas the dominant religion in India does not espouse the same sorts of ideas in terms of sex etc.
I reckon the Brits wouldn't be too far from the top of the list. Although a few Northern European and Eastern European countries might be just above. I'd put Americans slightly under the British. Nations like France, Italy and Spain are likely to be less promiscuous.

I don't know much about South-East Asian culture but some people are saying Filipinos?

They are pretty promiscuous. A lot come to the Middle East to work...and it's sadly not the sort of 'work' that a woman should have to do...

It is true that the younger generation in India are growing up with more westernised values but I strongly doubt that Indians come close to British.

Anything that is hush-hush is just an undercurrent, like the exception(s) that proves the rule. In Victorian Britain, people were doing all kinds of things yet it was all hush-hush. Just as in Catholic circles, it's all very hush-hush and what goes on, probably seems more promiscuous than anything that happens among non-Catholics but those people remain a minority.

A minority, yes, but a growing minority.

Fair enough.
Middle Easterns must be the last on the list, I mean there is the minority in International schools who are quite westernized. But the majority are not for sure, you lose your virginity, you lose your life (Honor Killing).

I know cause I'm an arab girl myself.
I don't see what you're trying to say in this discussion... sure you can generalise anyone into any category with opinions such as "people in this country are more so and so", but I don't see what you're getting at. Why have a discussion on such a generalised topic?
