Speak to them, if not threaten or speak to their parents; they'll be scared of their parents. If worst comes to worst be there ready to call for an ambulance - it is their life after all....

you could just say to them about how unsafe it is to be taking pills and say how you don't know what your buying etc. but considering one fainted and still wants to take them then they are obviously not too wise
Is the friend who had a fit going to take more?

IMHO don't threaten to speak to the parents. People need to make decisions on their own and you shouldn't force them. Like you said...it's their life after all"

In addition, you may lose the friendship and face similiar retribution.

The person that had a fit should probably not take it, but its their choice. just watch out for anything unusual, make sure they dont get dehydrated (but dont let them drink loads either). i wouldnt worry to much, there are much worse drugs out there that they could be doing. i know plenty of people that have experimented with ecstasy and have (so far) shown no adverse side effects. i think the dangers of ecstasy have been blown a bit of proportion to be honest.

yip nothing much you can do...and telling them abut the dangers is useless(they already know). Just tell them that it is a pointless thin g to do, and eventully they'll get bored or grow out of it. Wouldn't worry too much.

just out of intrest what age are they?

The dangers, while existing, aren't that great. It's nice that you're worried about your friends, but don't be annoying about it. They've made their choice, and hopefully they've educated themselves about the drug. I've got a friend who fitted once on pills, that is a problem, and i honestly couldn't tell you what caused it. They're fine now, though, and still drop every now and then.

If you can't accept the decision, don't make an issue of it. You'll lose friends.
Ecstasy pills quite often contain varied amounts of amphetamine which can increase likelihood of epileptic fits. The person who collapsed is extremely stupid if they take them again, particularly from the same source, if they have never had a fit before - that's not supposed to happen when you take ecstasy, and could definitely ruin your experience, damage your health or be an indication that the pills contain something other than or in addition to MDMA.

your friends seem stupid. if they had any sense they wouldn't have taken it in the first place. don't get caught up with them...

imo, let them take it then make fun of them afterwards for being stupid in the first place

Best advice...
Educate yourself about XTC, then should they take it, dont do anything stupid(like give them soo much water, they die of overhydration or whatever).

Tell them to talk to frank, its unlikely they will stop now because if they do they will never have a good night out again.

Well if the friendship's that important that you care about their safety it's worth risking it. Better than having a dead friend.

get them to think about the implications of what they're doing?

or just show them the video of what happens to people who take E, like the girl whos brain swelled up right in the middle of a club, and yer, she died.

I never have, dont and never will understand the logic behind taking drugs, its such a foolish thing to do and can ruin your life.

What a waste of resources. I would be reluctant to call the ambulance because like you say 'it is their life after all'.
I'm surprised dj nastie hasn't turned up to produce one of his "lectures" on drugs.

It may be a waste of resources - i could argue the same for obese people or smokers and many other cases but i won't as there's no need to go there, but if you put yourself in someone else's shoes you'd want an ambulance to come out to a child/sibling who had taken bad drugs or overdosed.
I would yes, was just highlighting the point and the inconsistentcy in your post.
