the 'taste' of makeup

i was just wondering.. i have just put my makeup on (foundation mainly... mm) and i licked my lips and there is this horrible, horrible taste. i know it's the makepup, i don't normally taste like that.. but i was just thinking, lads - does the taste of makeup put you off kissing a girl? you know, either on the lips or on the cheek, because i know i wouldn't like to kiss anyone who tastes like that.. mm... and my boyfriend has mentioned it once or twice..
nice aftertaste too... bleugh..

(that kind of looks bad, i actually don't have that much makeup on.. aaand i'm not orange)

(mainly for the blokes this one though females please give your views too)

Id be put off if I was a guy!!!
Which is a shame, because I like wearing make-up!
If I thought I was gonna be kissing anyone, I wouldn't wear my lip gloss, cos it's a cheap one so a horrible sticky consistancy, and you can get flavoured ones, which would be cool if I could afford them/be bothered to buy them!
Could always put a nice tasting face cream on too I guess.. Im too lazy to though, soo if someone doesn't wanna kiss me cos of that then ah well...

I don't really like girls who put on tons and tons of foundation anyway, i guess lipstick, eyeliner and eye shadow, perhaps a little blusher looks ok but if your putting on enough foundation to come off on somebodys lips i think your using a bit too much?

The "i accidentally smudged foundation on my lips and now there is a line of crust" really isn't a good look.

OP, i agree, make-up doesn't taste very nice. However, i don't seethat many people going around eating foundation every now and again.

Well maybe the odd one or two....... :p:

Normally when you kiss a girl on the cheek you don't tend to use your tongue, so you don't taste anything. Lip gloss sometimes tastes rough, but some are tasteless so I guess it depends what brand you use :confused:

Other than that I don't think you need to worry :biggrin:

Can agree with the lip gloss thing. I'm addicted to Elizabeth Arden "eight hour creme" does wonders to my lips and all but just taste awful!!! Lycky me I'm single right now haha :biggrin:

Not really, you'd have to slobber and rub your lips all over the girl's face quite forcefully for the makeup to come off on your lips (not a nice image I know.)

Perhaps if you put the make-up on badly or use something poor quality, it might come off just by kissing someone on the cheek... but in my experience, it doesn't happen :biggrin:

I'm addicted to Elizabeth Arden "eight hour creme" does wonders to my lips and all but just taste awful!!!

That stuff rules! It's so good! Luckily for me, my mum works for Elizabeth Arden so I get tons of samples for free, hehehehe. :biggrin:
