Would you think of studying in the middleast?

Would you consider studying in Middle east like Lebanon (American University of Beirut , Lebanese American University, Bizerte University..etc)
or UAE (American University of Sharjah, University of Sharjah and American University of Dubai...etc)
what comes on your mind once you think of studying in this conflicting area?

I live in the UAE and the American University of Sharjah is considered by most as the best university here, but you can't compare this UK universities.

there is the also University of Waterloo campus in Dubai which can be considered as a good option if you want to study engineering or maths.
