depends on the subject :/..

Depends on the subject i suppose.

For Sciences and Maths, either 8 good points or 4 points + explanation or simply the correct answer will suffice for full marks.

What subject?

Depends on the question and any marksgiven for diagrams etc.

The mark scheme is your friend. It works wonders with economics.

Edit: it should work with A2 ICT too

You need to write 8 points that answer the question. It doesn't matter how much you write, if you take 2 pages and give 4 points then you get 4 marks but if you write half a page and give 7 points then you get 7 marks.

well for the sciences id write 8 points

but since you need it for ict, id still say 8 key points

no one likes waffling

I realise I have to write 8 points. But what I am asking is how much writing should I do? Because I could write a whole page for each point and that would be 8 pages, or I may write a line for each point which would be 8 lines. So could you tell me how much you would expect to write?

IT is usually 4 points but all explained fully however it depends on the type of question

depending on the grade you want, for the higher grades i would say 5 justified points and a couple of other points...

However much it takes to fully explain the point.

Jesus, it's not ****ing rocket science.

The thing is that each point you make should be clear so that the examiner understands it easily
Now it depends on you how many words it takes to make your point of view clear
A single paragraph would do
P.S develop writing skills

Ordinarily you would write 4 explained points to achieve a high grade. There is one mark for the point, and one mark for explanation. It does not matter how much you write in terms of words, it's whether you've got enough for it to be worth 8 marks.

Hi I'm currently graduating and our professors are kind enough to let us know the marking scheme , the marks are alloted as follows (I'm giving answers on the basis of economics since that's what I'm majoring in) :

2 marks question : 10 lines

8 marks question : 2 to 3 pages explain 5 to 6 points nicely , it'll be great if you include diagrams as well and if possible try to include some data e.g. ; rate of population growth as compared from previous times and in the current times , demographic rates etc.

12 marks question : 4 to 4.5 pages , explain the topics well and also diagrams .

Hope this helps! Thanks for reading .
