Yeah this is just what I'm trying to get my head around....!

Well, I didn't have my prescription but I had the thing my old lenses came in, so I copied the info off that!

But if you've never had lenses before (or not for a while) you can't really get them without a prescription.

plus even if you use your old prescription, the strength of the lens might have changed slightly.mine changed in the last year from -2.25 to -2.75 so you definately need your prescription

Mine changed over a few years from my eyes being different to so that both eyes were the same! That confused the online ordering system on the site I used, and a man phoned me up to check!

You have to get all the proper care etc from an optician, and you're meant to have checks once a year if you're under 18 according to mine, but that might just be her personal preference. If you don't know what you're doing you can get some nasty health problems with contact lenses.

im trying to order my contact lenses online but many sites require a pescription and i have lost it! i live in a rural area so its quite a trip to the opticians. Anyone know any sites which sells them and doesnt require a pescription?

www.1-save-on-lens.com sells annual lenses cheaply with no presc, as does www.aclens.com

or when ordering, email them the fone number of the opticians to check. its now in uk law to have prescriptions to order online so its hard.
