First of all WELL DONE.
You've beaten something that many people never manage to beat so feel proud of yourself for that.
Maybe get a stress ball, and just clench that when you're feeling the heat?

Or maybe gum?

Good idea until they say "i cant stand chewing gum."
if you ask your dentist you may be able to get a mouth guard thing that stops you from grinding your teeth together (although im not quite so sure how practical these are to wear during the day!) alternatively keep chewing a pen/something similar even if it does look a bit silly it will stop you from damaging your teeth.

i dont really want to start taking in nicotine after not having it for this long i am fine without it i think thats why the pen is a good idea, roughly shaped the same without all the chemicals. however is it a good thing that i carry on the habit of holding something in my hands because it might make me want to do it with a cig eventually

Yea I used to have a problem with grinding my teeth, I had no idea I was doing it either until I went to the doctor complaining about the jaw pains! I think it's just something I naturally do when I'm thinking lol But yea I ended up being given a mouth guard type thing to wear and it really helped, I don't grind my teeth anymore (or at least I don't think so) so I'd definitely reccomend it. If you don't want to go down that route, try chewing some gum, that might help if you have something in your mouth. Be careful not to over do it if you do chew gum, though, else you'll end up with stomach ulcers!
smoking iz good innit
