Long as you've prepared, theres nothing to worry about.

I am definitely significantly concerned about it but not to that extent. What exactly are your major concerns? If it's living away from home, are you going to a uni with easy access to home? As for the debt we'll all be in the same boat mate.

I'm not worried about the work, and no I'll be really close to home because I chose one nearby on purpose. It's just all the social stuff. I don't really have any friends now and I don't drink and that's something that I feel almost everyone does so I know I won't fit in with people who drink a lot.

Pretty similar situation, although i do have one very good friend who is going to be in the same city, try not to worry about it, or at least not until you're there!

well im pretty sure that not drinking doesnt affect who you hang our with. Just means that they are drunk whilst your sober

Ditto, I've been through it all before...

well nothing to worry about then

I generally don't feel comfortable around drunk people though. Also I won't be living on campus and that'll make it harder to meet people as well.
Reply 13
yeh, living on campus is more of an advantage
Reply 14
Oh also I'll be a few years older than most people there too.

not sounding good for you...
tho ages shouldnt really matter unless your way older
I'm an ickle bit scared but excited about it all aswell. I don't drink neither, I'm sure it wont make that much of a difference, and besides, who says you need to drink to have fun!?

I was scared before i went to uni and now im in y second term... after freshers week i had made so many new friends and didnt know what i had worried about. In my close group of mates the boys all live off campus and they met through a programme that was organised to meet other people living off campus. Dont stress you will meet people and make friends and also not everyone gets drunk!

I'm quite scared, its just starting to hit me now that I am going away in September! One of the main worries is the social aspect as I will only be 17 for the first 6 months of uni and even if I dont drink, it means that I wont be able to go out. The living away from home doesnt really bother me but the rest does!
I'm not worried just yet but I know I will be peeing my pants when it gets nearer.
