The Student Room Group

Unsure how to read this...

Basically, I went out with my friend and some friends from her halls, and started to like one of the guys; he was really sweet and we were talking and flirting from the start (we'd met once before). Anyway, we walked all the way to his halls together which was a good few miles, and I was going to get the bus down to where I lived, anyway, he got the bus back with me came back and we kissed and talked, then he went. This was on a friday.

The next day I wasn't sure if I liked him that much but thought i'd meet up with him again because you never know after one night out. So we met up on the Sunday night and went to the cinema and it was really nice, and I had a good time, yet still wasn't sure if I liked him that much. So we were texting the other night, and decided to meet up this Friday and go to a jazz club (I hate jazz but its his idea and thought it might be fun).

Anyway, I havn't text him since tuesday, and hes just text me like 'hey gorgeous'. Is this weird? We've only been on like one date and I don't want him thinking were a couple or anything, because i'm not even ure if I like him yet! As well as this, hes told me hes got some friends visiting, so it'l be me and him and a group of his mates, which will make me feel like a bit of a tit!

By the way, hes 18, and i'm 19 and in m second year, which is also putting doubts in my mind.

Anyone have any advice?

I think maybe you are over analysing a little. Personally.. I don't think it means anything, it's probably just his way of letting you know that he is in fact interested in you. Nothing wrong with being called gorgeous so don't worry

I know hes interested; he text me the day we weere going to the cinema saying he really likes me.

I mean, he is a really nice guy, but not sure I want to get into anything and don't want to hurt him if it doesn't amount to anything.

Grr, no one ever been in this situation?

Maybe you should just tell him you dont want anything to heavy yet. I mean you don't want to lead him on and then realise you don't actually like him.

Dont go if you think you'll feel like a tit!

I've already told him i'd go, and its not like I can't invite anyone, but i'd rather just go on my own so I can figure out if I like him.

Just going to go and see what happens! Might have to tell him I'm not particularly happy about spending a night with a load of people I don't know, after all, i've only met him like three times!

Yeah, It might turn out good you never know. Plus you'll see him in a different light in front of his friends so you could end up liking him or making a decision over it.

Its fair enough on your behalf to be unhappy about that situation, i think anyone would be, so he should definatley understand.

I say "Hey gorgeous" to everyone. I don't think it's that big of a deal that he said it to you.

A hey gorgeous in my opinion doesn't mean anything i have loads of people on msn who i haven't even met and they greet me as hey gorgeous and hey sexy all the time, it doesn't indicate that we're a couple cos they know for a fact that i have a boyfriend. Also i address my gay mate as gorgeous all the time. Don't worry about.

Yes and its best to be straight with him as soon as.
And if your sure you dont like him in that way dont put it off because you dont want to hurt him.
As doing that would only make things worse and make you look like your using him or leading him on etc
