I'd say Economics at SOAS. Why? Well:

- Economics is more respected than International Business
- SOAS has a better reputation than Aston
- SOAS is in London. Hence, there'll be plenty to do apart from study Economics, although Aston is in Birmingham, which is the second biggest city in England.
- Being in London will give you exposure and proximity to blue-chip prospective employers i.e. banks, finance firms etc.

Hope this helps,

Sen

Well i can't compare Aston to SOAS since i've never seen SOAS, but i live in Birmingham and can tell you that in my opinion Aston is not a very nice area.
Let's face it. Aston or SOAS - University of London, the premier centres in the world for the study of developing countries...
SOAS - its a good course, and has an interesting slant to it. Also it's in London, and should be easier to pick up some work placements just in london. Disadvantages? Again, Its' in London

Okay, so the general consensus is in favour of SOAS.I'll probably pick SOAS, although I'm yet to visit Aston, so theres time. Has anyone seen the Aston prospectus...i know its advertising - and they must do advertsing well(top business school) but its nevertheless impressive by fact. Can anyone lend their expertise on the geographical nature of Aston. What's the area like??
