I wish the tan I got last summer would fade, but its not
I remember the summer before I got a tan and it faded by winter, but last year I went on holiday and got a good tan all over. But its not still not faded yet and its been 6 months
because the bits that didnt get tanned are so fairer compared to the rest of my body and I hate it
Why hasn't it faded?
How long does it take?

Have you been exfoliating? Though I read somewhere that helps keep the tan
6 months is a long time.

That happened to me too actually. I got really tanned travelling around Europe a couple of years back and it's never really gone away. Frankly I'm delighted though!

My tans always stay to a certain extent because I am quite olive skinned anyway, if you are not fair skinned it's more likely to stay longer I think?

BA, I thought you were Pakistani (sorry if you're not!), and hence surely you don't get 'tanned' as of such, but simply go darker in the sun, right?

Tanning literally means you go darker in the sun. Being white and getting tan is not what is considered a 'regular' tan because quite frankly, a lot of white people cant even tan.

Don't be ridiculous a lot of white people can tan. I am white and I tan quite easily. Not all of us turn pumpkin red.

Ikr that was a very ridiculous statement, tanning just means getting darker in the sun. Literally EVERY race can tan. Then some individuals in each race can't tan and just burn. Nobody assumes you're white just cause you say you tan 💀💀💀

One word - sunscreen. The sun is the #1 thing that ages your skin - constant exposure to the sun without protecting your skin with an spf causes wrinkles, dark patches of skin, age spots, etc. It's called photoaging and it happens to all ethnicities.... (white europeans will be more prone to wrinkles/fine lines, asian / african skin will be prone to age spots and uneven skin tone)
It's hard to get rid of once your skin is damaged in this way, so the best thing to do is protect with an spf!
