hello everyone, does anybody have any idea about consulting base salaries of Deloitte? Is it hihger from audit base salary?

Reply 21

Just to clear this up - I am a Deloitte scholar and here's how it works...

I've been a scholar in Birmingham, and the salary there was £15,350 (pro-rated obviously). You then get £1500 travel bursary, and £1500 a year whilst at university.

All scholar salaries are 75% of the graduate salary for your office, and then 85% when you come back for summer placements. So in London scholars are on around £19k, in Belfast it's more like £9k...!

Regarding the above post about consulting salaries, yes they are a lot more. Audit is the lowest, then tax, and the consulting. Not sure where corporate finance fits in.

cf is similar to consulting at big 4 - were you a scholar this year?

hi i'm planning to do a 12month placement. I'm wondering what is the salary for a 12 month placement at these companies. None of the companies state their salary.

Also how about top investment banks such as morgan stanley, lehmans brother, meryl lynch etc?

35k for e and y regional, i work there

Grad salary - 20k is common - this is based on many people I know starting at KPMG, PwC and Deloitte in regional offices this September.

There is no way that can be true. You might get something like that after a couple years in London but that is just absurdly high for regional starting salary. Thats an investment bank style salary.

Agreed.

Big 4 Graduate starting salary will be between 28 and 30k for Audit and Tax in London. Will be less by a few thousand in the regions.

As far as intern pay goes, I got 380 p/w last year from Big 4 in London.

Does anyone know the exact starting salary at pwc graduate role in London is this year? When I got the contract it gave last year's salary and said it was under review for this year.

Thanks

They review them in July I believe so you'll know in a couple of months.

Anyone know how consulting/advisory ranks ranks? I'm talking in particular about strategy and transactions rather than performance or technology?

As I understand it audit usually brings up the rear and advisory does well. Is there much of a difference between the big 4?

Also if anyone has any recommendations with regard to culture at each of the big 4 then that would be more than welcome. I'm leaning towards KPMG at the moment but you can't really tell from interviews and tours.
