I would avoid it for at least 24 hours or so.

I wouldn't go over the top, but it should be ok to have a few given that you took them quite a long time ago. Stop if you start to feel weird though.

thanks i think i'll just have the one drink tonight, bit of a bummer though as its a really big night!
Have googled it and am now terrified of the results, stomach ulcers, internal bleeding etc. Unforntunatly none of these sites mention how long after taking painkillers you can drink alcohol?!

The reason I said 24 hours is because thats roughly how long it takes to get out of your system (and the female body has a lower capacity for dealing with alcohol).

For complete elimination, yes. I suppose it is better to err on the side of caution, but as it's ibuprofen rather than paracetamol, there's less likely to be liver issues etc.

True, I'd rather be safe than sorry though. Nothing wrong with waiting.

The hangover is after the alcohol's been dealt with though, the next day.

I wonder what it feels like to have gastrointestinal bleeding.

A mouth ulcer's bad enough, without one in your stomach...

I thought it was paracetamol: no no no. Ibruprofen: that's ok.
But obviously mixing any kind of drug can have complications, so I'd drink in moderation (or not at all if you can cope like that!), and expect to get drunk quicker than usual and act accordingly.

Done this and it gets you drunk more quickly. I had some paracetamols and was pissed after about 5 pints the amount it would normally take about 8
