sorry that im posting anonymous but its embarasin

im definately straight i fancy lads not girls but lately with my best friend ive suddenly have urges to kiss her but i stop my self. i dont know if im going lesbian or if its hormones...can anybody help clarify this for me

i believe very strongly every girl has the potential to be a lesbian and an even stronger to be bi. even guys have it but it's harder for them to come to terms because they're afraid of being gay...it's ok. i got it when i was younger and i still get it sometimes. i fancy guys but sometimes i find myself looking up girls as well. it's ok, you're normal don't worry. :smile:

It often happens that developing hormones can cause you to become temporarily attracted to people who you don't usually fancy, especially if they're close to you (e.g. your best friend).

You could be bisexual, or a lesbian - but that's nothing to worry about. You are who you are. Give it time and see if you're attracted to other girls, or if this is just a one-off thing.

Everyone has the capacity in them to have urges for the same sex. Don't supress it I would say but don't label yourself as a lesbian or bisexual either.

Just accept it, your inherent lesbianism is coming out.
All you need to do now is get a butch haircut and dungarees and you too can be a stereotype :smile:

I don't think there is anything wrong with the fact you feel attracted to your best friend. :smile:

Although I have never experienced this, I can see how it could happen. Often, best friends are very close & sometimes I guess that line between being really good friends & lovers is blurred. It doesn't mean you will act on it & it is a normal part of growing up. Often hormones play havoc with your head as you grow up. You could be 100% straight but still have bisexual/lesbian urges.

I'm not saying ignore it, just become aware of the fact that it is normal.

I agree. I kinda have this problem aswell. I like boys, but i find spending time with my female friends more fun. And cos of my ex i felt like never want to be friends of a guy anymore. In other words i wish to have a female friend that can have a gud laugh with me (for the rest of my life)
