hey southlands its really nice not to loud either any one going to hammersmith tonight? i am yay and i just got a job so i am very happy hows froebel working out for you have to warn you be careful walking down roehampton lane a friend of mine got mugged on monday walking to the medly they only took his ticket tho! i think im going to the school disco any1 dressing up?
Get your tickets as soon as possible if you want to do ANYTHING. I really cant stress this enough. Im pretty sure the disco's sold out now, but im not sure about thursday or friday. I only managed to get tickets for tonight and saturday, because one of the people in my halls decided they didnt want thiers.
They got mugged on Roehampton Lane? Damn, I always thought the whitelands area was pretty scary.
i have a freshers pass so i have tickets for all nights if i want them apparently roehampton lane is rough and gets worse going up to the coop but thats just what ive been told by my flat rep! what have u been up to then hows your halls whats its like?
Well, ive had talks and stuff every morning, so thats been a real pain in the butt (which reminds me, why put on talks in the morning which are "important", when theyre also trying to get you to go out the night before?).
Yeah, my halls are fantastic, theres around 20 of us in old court so we all know each other, which is excellent. And I just cant get used to how big my room is!
I'm well bummed out I can't go to the freshers ball... Hmm I'm finding it hard to make friends at the moment, seeing as I don't live in halls. Sure when lectures start I'll get to know people...
hello newbie here also at roehampton, coudnt get tickets to the ball either and am also finding it hard to make friends as i live at home hopefully that will change
Well, your both welcome to come over to Old Court, seen as your not digby students theres plenty of people over here you can meet.
This ball tonight, is everyone going in suits etc? Wish I had found out about it earlier to be honest, I might have tried to get a ticket. Actually, on that subject, is anyone going to the school disco at froebel bar tonight?
So are you two living with your parents, or have you rented somewhere nearby?
Haha I actually am a digby student. Oh dear. Ye I'm living at home, my mum still wasn't ready to let go , so out of respect I stayed. How was the ball then?
I'm applying to study in September 2007 doing a journalism degree. I'd be interested in hearing what students say about the Uni rather than a glossy pre-prepared prospectus
I live across the road too, that always help haha!
i'm on a year out at the moment, will be applying to roehampton for next year there are hardly any unis in the country that do combined photog and creative writing, so roehampton is pretty much my only option -- but a really lovely one too, if that makes sense. it seems like a beautiful place, and i always wanted to live in london, so it's allright.
i know there's an open day this month but i might not make it down from newcastle. it's a shame, i really wanted to see it before i cement decisions, will only see it for the first time after i've applied. anyways it sounds nice (apart from this digbys which is getting a bad rep )... so.. is it? x
applying for next year, to do creative writing and english lit. i love how you can do all sorts of wacky combinations there. its my third choice after kingston and UEL (might be seen as crap unis by most of the tsr peeps, but theyre damn well good enough for me )
I have an interview at Roehampton on Feb 7th, 2007. They initially invited me for an interview on Nov 15th, but I asked them to postpone it to next year, when I will be back in London to live.
I've got an offer for Journalism & History -- anyone care to tell me some nice things about Roehampton unrelated to campus/area/etc? Anything about Journalism or History programs? I won't be living on campus or anywhere in the area at all.

ooh, what subject are you applying for which means an interview? and best of luck with it
i'm not sure if there'll be an interview or a portfolio required for photography. or if they'll need any samples of work for creative writing? i'm sort of confuzzled for now, hopefully it should sort out x
