A yacht to coincide with the jubilee party this summer. The sheeple will lap it up!

The only thing the taxpayer should be funding for her is a guillotine.

Hopefully she would at least get a chance to try it out on someone. I think you should be first to volunteer

You are just retarded. A court would laugh that out. I think if someone undermined every single law in the Kingdom, it would cause more concern than...none?! I bet you are an illuminati believer too aren't you

A court has already accepted the information as a legitimate legal defence! Maud-dib used it in his defence when on trial for attempting to pervert the course of justice (you should learn to read).

Lots of people with court cases coming up are showing an interest in it. Done right, this could be a really useful, almighty hammer to knock out the foundations of their fraudulent system.

For my part, I downloaded 11 pages of Maud-dib's statement about the fraudulent queen. I'm photo copying them and handing them out to people in my area.

I'm gonna keep on sharing it around the place!

Doesn't stop you being frickin' nuts. Credible report of High Court or above on this case, clearly outlining that fact in judgement please. He sounds like a conspiracy theorist and no one gives a flying crap about his views
Am I the only one who doesn't see how a 600ft yacht is going to be only 60mil?

Try several hundred million.

I'm an American, so I hope you don't begrudge me a comment on this matter.

In my opinion, having a monarchy (even though it may cost taxpayers) is an effective investment of funds, generally speaking. It allows the UK to be able to influence politics within the Commonwealth, and also fosters an image of national success and wealth.

I realize that some expenditures go too far, and there is the annoyance of the perceived lack of democracy (since it is a monarchy), but overall, maintaining the monarchy seems like a smart foreign policy choice, even though it sometimes may be expensive.

Sheeple will believe anything they're told.

Besides, lizzy craves for human flesh not overpriced boats.
There's never any money until the Queen wants it. Simples.

She owns 1/5th of the land on the entire planet. But we still have to buy her boats and heat her palaces.

And all this comes out the same day the government suggest a property grab against old people to 'ease the housing crisis'.

People need to see through this ****.

Your interpretation of Britain is whitewash and bleach everything.

Besides, you are a dual citizen with the US. Your views are hardly reflective of Britain given 'half your family' are in America.

Hold on a minute here, just because someone has dual citizenship it doesn't mean that they're loyalties and family are necessarily 50/50
This is all irrelevant now, the government has stated it will not use tax payers money to fund the queens yacht. It will be funded by donations.

I understand she has extraordinary wealth and power, and I'm not advocating that your taxpayers expand the pot she draws from, so to speak. I'm simply suggesting that having her in place as a figurehead (if you could somehow eliminate the taxpayer paid benefits while maintaining power projected to foreign countries) would be a good idea. It certainly worked well in your colonial period anyway, if I know my history.

Cheers mate!

So it's all very good saying "oh there's tough times, we can't afford anything anymore, yadadadada" yet they can afford a goddamn boat for the Queen?

I get it's the Diamond Jubilee and all, but if we're all in this together than surely she can accept something a little less...costly, given the difficult times and all?

A yacht financed by private investment, thereby costing us... Nothing?

God Save the Queen.

Aren't presents meant to be surprises?

My favourite part, we should buy the yacht because of "the greater achievement that the diamond anniversary represents" because y'know she works so hard.

The taxpayer should fork out 60 mil yachts for everyone who lives to 85, after all it is a massive achievement.

She works harder than most 85 year olds. Also, the diamond jubliee is more about having been the monarch for 60 years of her life (Longer than the vast majority will ever work, let alone be in the same job.) At 25 years you get a gold watch, at 60 you get a yacht.

Even if the Queen does get this boat, imagine the further coast of security measures needing to be taken when she ventures out into the pirate ridden seas!

The Queen is more of a tourist attraction than anything, any sane person would dream to have a job like hers, dont even think about saying she "works hard" or "deserves it" , as soon as she was born her life has been handed to her on a plate..What a trooper she is!!!! (sarcasm)
