That is sad. We can't. Our school doesn't let us. So that's why we need to do well the first time.

What percentage of aluminium oxide did you guys write for the tonnes question?
why there none of the topics/questions on the specification AQA told us to learn? If the stuff on there was about the stuff they said it was i would have aced it! and also why where the mocks so easy compare to the actual exam? also are resits generally easier?
the mocks are so easy.... http://store.aqa.org.uk/qual/gcse/qp...W-QP-JAN11.PDF

are they even allowed to do what they did today giving us an exam on nothing we knew?

Didn't even bother to work it out and put 90% which I know is wrong.

I put 20% as well, but what was your working out?
Umm, I remember dividing the figure for Aluminium Oxide in the table by another amount given. Then I multiplied by 100.

But is it ok if I didn't do any working out, since it is only 1 mark.

Are you sure that 20% is correct. What did you put for the last question?

I don't know if it's correct. For the last question, I gave advantages and disadvantages but I forgot to write a conclusion! >;(

For the calculations did you do 10/50 x 100 = 20%

Yes! That's it!

It's 55....

50 tonnes out of 100 was pure aluminium oxide and 10% of the remaining 50 tonnes was aluminium oxide. 10% of 50 is 5 and 5+50= 55 tonnes out of every 100 i.e. 55%

I think they will allow you to resit if your parents have a meeting with the teacher, and you might have to pay.
Was the last question about fermentation??

IT WAS TOOOOOOO HARD HALF OF THE STUFF WE HADNT STUDIED WHAT WAS THE LAVENDER OIL QUESTION AND THE MANTLE ONE?
btw for the one about decreasing the amount of unsat fat did you put hardening/hydrogenation

I agree - it was much too hard and most of the stuff in the specifcation wasn't in there. There was nothing on emulsions, bonding, etc. And I put hydrogenation for the unsat fat one but then crossed it out :frown: And I had no idea about the lavender oil one and the mantle one... no idea whatsoever. What did you put for that one about Brazil?

That's what I put  Shame it was only a mark or two.
