'add'?

lately I've been having trouble remembering things, with concentrating and with paying attention etc.

With the memory problems, it's usually things like forgetting something from the day before/ a few hours ago/ a couple of minutes ago, it never used to happen much but it's become more frequent and significant. With the focusing and stuff, well, I'll be thinking of something, maybe playing something through in my head (imagining a conversation or something like that for example), and then I'll go completely blank and forget what I'm thinking about, or I'll trail off thinking about something else. I was discussing this with some people on another forum and one of them, who had been diagnosed with ADD, suggested I should get tested for it as I had similar symptoms to him. Someone also posted things like symptoms and causes and different disorders and conditions, and factors like stress came up.

What do you think?

Although it may not be ADD, visit your GP, and they'll be able to do tests / recommend a specialist.

My memory used to be great, but when I went back to college this yr things started to go downhill.

I was watching TV not long ago and saw something good on, went to tell my father bout it, but by the time i got there (the other room) i'd forgot it.

I'm putting it down to increased mind functions and a bit of stress at the moment, so I am not too concerned. If you are concerned though i suggest you go to your GP, it wont do no harm and even if the GP doesn't find anything wrong, maybe the chat will help. Good luck.
