Its no Shottingham ... but yeah Notts was worst per capita but its only in areas you wont touch with a barge pole if you have half a brain. Anyway its below various other cities now but it just had a bad rep for a few years. Personally I haven't been shot or knifed or anyone who has been, so suits me fine.

Ok so its scary but lets not be too pessimistic.... all cities have crime, and although nottingham does have some of the highest rates they are mainly for robbery rather than murder or rape.

some girl got hammered to death about 5 minutes from my house here in hampton in the suburbs of london, so im not worried about nottingham.

Dont come to notts, its like harlem. Gang land shootings every night, cant cross the street without dodging bullets...

its just like any place, dont be stupid and be on your own late at night, attract too much attention to yourself, or wave your mobile phone around like its a fly swatter in the air then you'll be ok.

... i consider london to be a far worse place to live, plus, you'll only ever really be in student areas so you'll be safe, especially on campus.

Gun grime is a nasty thing but i think someone needs to say that it happens everywhere in the country and i think nottingham is just used as an example alot of the time.
